PrivatBank promises protection of undertakers' personal data.

PrivatBank's Chairman of the Board Oleksandr Shlapak said this during a press briefing on Thursday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He recalls that bank secrets can be discovered only at the request of security agencies when the client is a suspect in a criminal case.

Rumors have been spread among PrivatBank clients that information about their transactions will be sent to the State Fiscal Service after the nationalization.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers on December 18 decided to nationalize PrivatBank.

The Ministry of Finance on December 21 acquired ownership of 100% of shares in PrivatBank.
