GDP Up 2.3% In 2016

In 2016, the real GDP grew by 2.3% year over year (in the constant prices of 2010) to UAH 2,383.182 billion (in actual prices) (not including the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol).

The State Statistics Service announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Statistics Service updates indicators of the real GDP throughout the year.

According to specified data of the State Statistics Service, in October-December 2016 the real GDP rose by 4.8% over the same period of 2015 to UAH 723.051 billion (in actual prices).

In comparison with Q3 2016, GDP rose 1.9% (adjusted for the seasonal factor, but not including the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol).

In the first quarter of 2016, GDP rose by 0.1% to UAH 455.637 billion, in the second quarter of 2016 rose by 1.5% to UAH 535.324 billion, and in the third quarter of 2016 it rose by 2.3% to UAH 669.170 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2015, real GDP fell 9.8% against 2014 (in constant prices of 2010) to UAH 1,988.544 billion (in actual prices) (not including the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol).
