Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 24.6% To 14,553, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 2.2% To 467 On April 13

On April 13, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 14,553 over April 12 to 1,887,338, and the number of deaths increased by 467 over April 12 to 38,225; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 24.6%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.2%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of April 14, a total of 1,887,338 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 38,225 fatal cases; 1,442,618 people had recovered.

On April 13, a total of 14,553 new disease cases were recorded, 467 people died, and 12,384 people recovered.

Therefore, as of April 13, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (14,553 vs. 12,384).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 14 was 406,495, up 0.4% over April 13.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (180,066), Odesa region (122,568), and Kharkiv region (119,918).

Besides, Kharkiv region has registered a total of 119,540 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 108,384; Dnipropetrovsk region – 106,178 cases, Zaporizhia region – 86,939, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 82,058, Zhytomyr region – 78,856, Khmelnytskyi region – 75,392, Chernivtsi region - 74,303, Donetsk region – 69,007, Sumy region – 66,272, Cherkasy region – 66,268, and Rivne region – 64,779.

A total of 63,721 cases have been registered in Vinnytsia region, 63,412 cases – in Poltava region, 61,491 cases - in Ternopil region, 57,944 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 57,228 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 52,018 cases – in Volyn region, 47,860 cases – in Chernihiv region, 27,704 – in Kherson region, 20,113 – in Luhansk region, and 15,319 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 12, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 11,680 over April 11 to 1,872,785, and the number of deaths increased by 457 over April 11 to 37,758; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 48.7%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 59.2%.

On April 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,856 over April 10 to 1,861,105, and the number of deaths increased by 287 over April 10 to 37,301; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 35.1%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 22.1%.
