NPBU: Court In Belarus Orders 2-Month Arrest Of Ukrainian Radio Journalist Sharoiko Suspected Of Espionage On October 25

The National Public Broadcasting of Ukraine (NPBU) says a court in Belarus ordered two-months arrest of Pavlo Sharoiko, a journalist of Ukrainian Radio, on October 25.

Svetlana Mialyk, deputy editor-in-chief of the NPBU, wrote this on her Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The correspondent of Ukrainian Radio in Belarus Pavlo Sharoiko ha been arrested. Pavlo's wife Olena said me this. According to her, the arrest was in Minsk on October 25," she wrote.

According to her, law enforcement agencies of Belarus searched the apartments where Sharoiko lived.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 17, Chairperson of the National Public Broadcasting of Ukraine (NPBU) Zurab Alasania announced on his Facebook page that Belarusian law enforcement agencies have arrested Pavlo Sharoiko, a journalist of Ukrainian Radio, on suspicion of espionage.
