Zelenskyy explains what Ukraine's Victory Plan is and why it is important for Biden to support it

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has explained that the "Victory Plan" prepared by him, which he will present, in particular, to U.S. President Joe Biden, is a plan to strengthen Ukraine and does not require cooperation from the russians to achieve success.

He told about this in an interview with The New Yorker.

Thus, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has been living in plan "B" for years, since plan "A" was proposed before the start of a full-scale war, when there were calls for preventive sanctions and preventive strengthening of Ukraine.

According to him, the current plan for victory is his proposal for a "new Plan A". He explained that this plan means that Ukraine is changing its current course, where "only thanks to the strength of our military, the heroic devotion to the European values of our people and our soldiers, we survived."

"If you don't want this war to drag on, if you don't want Putin to bury us under the corpses of his people, taking even more Ukrainian lives, we offer you a plan to strengthen Ukraine. This is not a fantasy or science fiction, and, what is important is that it does not require cooperation from the Russians to achieve success. Rather, the plan states what our partners can do without Russia's participation," Zelenskyy explained.

In addition, the President admitted that the plan was developed primarily with the support of U.S. President Joe Biden in mind.

"If he doesn't want to support him, I can't force him. If he refuses, well, then we have to continue living according to plan B. And that's a shame," Zelenskyy said.

When asked what would happen if Biden says "no", Zelenskyy pointed out that this is a "terrible thought". According to him, this would mean that Biden does not want to end the war in a way that deprives russia of victory.

"And we would have had a very long war - an impossible, exhausting situation that would have resulted in the deaths of enormous numbers of people. Having said that, I can't fault Biden for anything. After all, he made a powerful, historic move when he decided to support us at the start of the war, which prompted our other partners to do the same. We recognize Biden's great achievement in this regard. This step was already a historic victory," Zelenskyy said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy went to the United States to present the Victory of Ukraine Plan.

Recall that Zelenskyy intends to present the Plan for the Victory of Ukraine to Biden on September 26. It will also be seen by candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

Earlier, the media found out that the Victory Plan, which Zelenskyy is to present to Biden next week, includes an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO and the commitment of the United States to the constant supply of modern weapons.

Zelenskyy also said that the Plan for Ukraine's Victory in the War will be shown to U.S. President Biden.
