After the arrest in Paris of the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov, this social network began to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in France and a number of countries.

This was written by Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

"After the arrest of Pavel Durov in Paris, Telegram began to cooperate with law enforcement agencies not only in France, but also in other countries," Kovalenko said.

"Everything is very bad for russian intelligence. It's a failure," Kovalenko said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Durov was detained at the airport in France in August when he got off a private plane.

The French Ministry of Justice issued an arrest warrant for Durov as part of an investigation into crimes including fraud, drug trafficking, cyberbullying, organized crime and terrorist propaganda.

The French TV channel TF1 reported that Durov was included in the list of wanted persons in France. He received French citizenship in 2021.

Durov was charged with 12 crimes. He was released from custody on August 28.
