Pokrovsk, Pokrovsk axis

In the area of the city of Selydove on the Pokrovsk axis, russian assault groups suffer heavy losses. Out of every ten occupiers, only one survives.

The German publication Bild writes about it.

The publication's military columnist Julian Röpcke visited the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Selydove, where the Ukrainian military told him about the situation in the area of the city.

According to the military, the russians are trying to storm Selydove using the tactics of small assault groups. It involves gathering in several areas from 50 to 100 personnel, from where they try to sneak to the outskirts of the city to gain a foothold and continue the attack.

Military serviceman and commander of one of the artillery units Andrii said that the russians cannot do this.

"The enemy cannot reach its last accumulation area and gather there the forces needed to attack Selydove. That is why the Russians have been trying to attack on the flanks for the last couple of days," he said.

He added that every day his unit detects up to 200 occupiers trying to approach Selydove. He claims that 5-10% of russians reach the last fortified area near the city. The rest either get killed or injured.

"Now they are trying to take us on the flanks. Let's be honest, they succeed a little, but not so much that we start to get very nervous," the serviceman emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, today, September 23, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the next few months will be decisive in the war against russia.

Recall that earlier, before this, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has been living according to plan "B" for many years, since the country's partners refused to preemptively strengthen it against russia.
