Russians simulate Shahed attack on Khmelnytskyi NPP - Energoatom

Energoatom, khmelnytskyi npp, Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, Energoatom Nuclear Energy Generating Company

On the night of September 22, an attack drone of the aggressor country russia flew next to the industrial site of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant to simulate an attack on the nuclear power plant.

This is stated in the message of the Energoatom National Atomic Energy Generating Company on Monday, September 23.

Once again, the russian occupiers launched an attack drone next to the Khmelnytskyi NPP industrial site.

"The flight path indicates that Russia probably tried to simulate an attack directly on the nuclear power plant by sharply deviating from the initial trajectory towards the plant, approaching the site, and then turning around and returning to the original trajectory. This is not the first time that Russia has endangered Ukrainian nuclear facilities, deliberately creating a threat to the safety of the nuclear power plant and intensifying energy terror,” reads the statement of Energoatom.

According to the head of the company, Petro Kotin, the russians are raising the stake, systematically creating tension at nuclear facilities, which can lead to fatal consequences. Energoatom provides information about each such fact to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and informs domestic and international organizations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, during the night attack on September 20, one of the russian drones flew in the immediate vicinity of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.

On the night of September 12, a russian Shahed drone flew in the immediate vicinity of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.
