Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up 146 Persons To 126,264 On January 24, Number Of Deaths Up 5 To 2,283 - Klitschko

On January 24, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 146 over January 23 to 126,264, and the number of deaths rose by five to 2,283.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

There were 83 women aged 22-81; 58 men aged 18-83; one girl aged 3; and four boys aged 7m-16y among the people infected with the coronavirus on January 24.

Besides, one medical worker fell ill.

On January 24, the largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Darnytskyi district (57), Desnianskyi district (25), and Solomiyanskyi district (15).

A total of 626 residents of the city of Kyiv recovered, and since the start of the epidemic, the number has made 58,513.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 23, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 240 over January 22 to 126,118, and the number of deaths rose by six to 2,278.

On January 24, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,516 over January 23 to 1,194,328, and the number of deaths increased by 63 over January 23 to 21,924; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 35.7%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 24.1%.

According to the report, as at the morning of January 25, there were 1,194,328 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 21,924 lethal cases; besides, 953,297 people had recovered.

On January 24, a total of 2,516 new cases of the disease were recorded, 63 people died, and 5,783 people recovered.

Therefore, as at January 24, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (5,783 vs 2,516).

As at the morning of January 25, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 219,107, down 1.5% over January 24.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (126,264), Odesa region (80,220), and Kharkiv region (76,464).
