Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 35.1% To 7,856, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 22.1% To 287 On April 11

On April 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,856 over April 10 to 1,861,105, and the number of deaths increased by 287 over April 10 to 37,301; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 35.1%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 22.1%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of April 12, a total of 1,861,105 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 37,301 fatal cases; 1,416,215 people had recovered.

On April 11, a total of 7,856 new disease cases were recorded, 287 people died, and 5,355 people recovered.

Therefore, as of April 11, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (7,856 vs. 5,355).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 12 was 407,589, up 0.6% over April 11.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (177,106), Odesa region (120,867), and Kharkiv region (117,759).

Besides, Kharkiv region has registered a total of 117,739 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 106,721; Dnipropetrovsk region – 104,866 cases, Zaporizhia region – 85,486, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 81,833, Zhytomyr region – 78,276, Khmelnytskyi region – 74,156, Chernivtsi region - 73,864, Donetsk region – 67,622, Sumy region – 65,630, Cherkasy region – 65,014, and Rivne region – 63,741.

A total of 62,999 cases have been registered in Vinnytsia region, 61,718 cases – in Poltava region, 60,657 cases - in Ternopil region, 57,636 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 56,451 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 51,315 cases – in Volyn region, 47,586 cases – in Chernihiv region, 27,408 – in Kherson region, 19,540 – in Luhansk region, and 15,115 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 10, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,112 over April 9 to 1,853,249, and the number of deaths increased by 235 over April 9 to 37,014; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 30.6%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 41%.

On April 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 17,463 over April 8 to 1,841,137, and the number of deaths increased by 398 over April 8 to 36,779; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 11.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 5%.
