Steel production down 3.1 times to 5.8 million tons in 10M

In the first ten months of 2022, steel production decreased 3.1 times or by 12,059,000 tons year over year to 5,844,000 tons.

This follows from a statement posted on the website of the association of enterprises Ukrmetalurgprom, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In the first ten months of 2022, the production of pig iron decreased 3.1 times or by 11,915,000 tons to 5,809,000 tons, the production of rolled products - 3.2 times or by 10,966,000 tons to 5,020,000 tons.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the first nine months of 2022, steel production decreased 2.9 times to 5.5 million tons.

In 2021, steel production increased by 3.6% or 750,000 tons year over year to 21,366,000 tons.

At the same time, the production of cast iron increased by 3.6% to 21,165,000 tons, the production of rolled products - by 9.1% to 1,672,000 tons.
