30 Foreigners Apply To Police During Eurovision 2017 In Kyiv

Thirty foreign citizens applied to Ukrainian police during the Eurovision 2017 international song contest in Kyiv (May 3-14).

Andrii Krischenko, the head of the Kyiv office of the National Police of Ukraine, announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He said most of them were victims of minor crimes against property and swindling.

According to him, Ukrainian police have solved three crimes.

He said the National Police did not allow gross violations of public order during the song contest in the city.

Also, the National Police of Ukraine registered no terror threats during the Eurovision-2017 international song contest in Kyiv.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the period of May 3 - 13, Kyiv hosted the Eurovision-2017 international song contest with over 40 countries registered to participate in the competition.

Nearly 10,000 policemen, officers from the National Guards and employees from the State Border Service and State Emergency Service were called on duty to protect public order during the Eurovision-2017.
