State Commission On Technogenic And Environmental Safety And Emergencies Classifies Kharkiv Region In "Red" Zone Of Epidemic Danger From April 11 And Cancels "Red" Level In Ivano-Frankivsk Region From April 10

The State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies has classified Kharkiv region as a "red" zone of epidemic danger from April 11 and canceled the "red" level of epidemic danger in Ivano-Frankivsk region from April 10.

Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov announced this on his Telegram channel following the meeting of the commission, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Based on the results (of the meeting), the State Commission decided to establish: from 00:00 a.m. on April 11, 2021, the "red" level of the epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 in Kharkiv region," Nemchinov wrote.

Thus, on the territory of Kharkiv region, restrictive anti-epidemic measures should be introduced, provided for the "red" level of epidemic danger.

Also, the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies canceled the "red" level of epidemic danger in Ivano-Frankivsk region from 00:00 a.m. on April 10.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies previously assigned the city of Kyiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy, Odesa, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv and Chernivtsi, Chernigov, Zaporizhia and Khmelnytskyi regions to the "red" epidemiological zone.

The Ministry of Health previously announced that it intends to initiate the introduction of a lockdown throughout the country in the case that more than 13 regions are classified in the "red" zone of epidemic danger.

On April 7, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that at the moment there is no need to introduce a lockdown throughout Ukraine.
