Number Of People Vaccinated With 1st Dose Up 26.2% To 35,462, With 2nd Dose Up 23.6% To 27,129 June 15

On June 15, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased by 26.2% over June 14 to 35,462, and the number of those vaccinated with the second one rose 23.6% to 27,129.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 1,543,263 people have received the first dose of the vaccine and 287,884 people have received the second dose of the vaccine (completed the vaccination).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 14, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased by 38.2% over June 13 to 28,100, and the number of those vaccinated with the second one rose 11.6 times to 21,957.

On June 15, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,045 over June 14 to 2,226,037, and the number of deaths increased by 78 over June 14 to 51,847; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 3%, and the number of new lethal cases increased 1.3%.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 16, a total of 2,226,037 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,847 fatal cases; 2,140,978 people had recovered.

On June 15, a total of 1,045 new disease cases were recorded, 13 people died, and 4,802 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 15, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (1,045 vs 4,802).

As of the morning of June 16, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 33,212, down 10.3% over June 15.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (211,437), Kharkiv region (148,025), and Odesa region (140,230).
