Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 28.5% To 2,032, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 46.7% To 66 On August 26

On August 26, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,032 over August 25 to 2,280,203, and the number of deaths increased by 66 over August 25 to 53,632; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 28.5%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 46.7%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of August 27, a total of 2,280,203 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 53,632 fatal cases; 2,204,682 had recovered.

On August 26, a total of 2,032 new disease cases were recorded, 66 people died, and 1,253 people recovered.

Therefore, as of August 26, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (2,032 vs 1,253).

At the same time, on August 26, a total of 838 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 80.6% over August 25.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 25, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,581 over August 24 to 2,278,171, and the number of deaths increased by 45 over August 24 to 53,566; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 2.2 times, and the number of new lethal cases increased 2.3 times.

On August 24, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 727 over August 23 to 2,276,590, and the number of deaths increased by 20 over August 23 to 53,521; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 25.9%.
