Health Ministry Extends Requirement Of Compulsory Vaccination For Employees Of State Enterprises And Social Workers From December 9

Starting December 9, the Ministry of Health will extend the mandatory vaccination requirement for government employees and social workers.

The ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the order, from December 9, employees will also be added to teachers and employees of central and local authorities who are subject to compulsory vaccination against coronavirus during the quarantine period:

- enterprises, institutions and organizations related to the sphere of management of the central executive authorities;

- institutions providing social services, institutions for the social protection of children, rehabilitation institutions;
- enterprises, institutions and organizations on the list of state property objects of strategic importance for the economy and security of the state.
Unvaccinated workers (except for those who provide a medical certificate on the presence of contraindications to vaccination) will be suspended from work without pay.
From Monday, November 8, unvaccinated workers (except for those who provided a medical certificate on the presence of contraindications to vaccination) of educational institutions and executive authorities are suspended from work.
The Ministry of Health approved a form for a certificate of contraindications for vaccination against COVID-19.
On November 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 18,988 over November 7 to 3,107,489, and the number of deaths increased by 833 over November 7 to 73,390; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 45.3%, and the number of new deaths increased by 76.1%.
According to the report, as of the morning of November 8, a total of 3,107,489 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 73,390 deaths; 2,537,565 had recovered.
On November 8, a total of 18,988 new disease cases were recorded, 833 people died, and 16,609 people recovered.
Therefore, as of November 8, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (18,988 vs 16,609).
At the same time, on November 8, a total of 2,967 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 16% over November 7.
On November 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 13,068 over November 6 to 3,088,501, and the number of deaths increased by 473 over November 6 to 72,557; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 24.9%, and the number of new deaths increased by 5.3%.
