Anti-Ukrainian "underground", which corrected enemy strikes on city, neutralized in Kherson

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) conducted a special operation, as a result of which an underground cell of the russian FSB was neutralized in Kherson. During the operational measures, all three members of the enemy group, which corrected artillery and rocket-bomb strikes on the city, were detained. This is stated in the notification of the SSU.

It is noted that it was according to their coordinates that at the end of September of this year, the occupiers completely destroyed two private residential buildings and damaged five more in the regional center. Then, as a result of enemy shelling, about 10 civilians received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

According to the investigation, the organizer and leader of the local anti-Ukrainian underground was a former businessman who, after the capture of the city, switched to the side of the enemy.

Then he got a job as a "master" at the occupation "Kherson Railway of the russian federation", where he carried out technological work for the movement of echelons with military equipment of the aggressor country.

While working for the invaders, their accomplice came to the attention of the russian FSB, which soon recruited him.

After the liberation of the city, the traitor "laid low" for a while, but later he contacted his "curator" from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson Region and received a task from him.

On the instructions of the aggressor, he created his own group of informants, to which he recruited two pro-russian residents of the regional center.

One of them, during the capture of the city, took part in the filming of staged stories for the Kremlin's mouthpiece - RIA Novosti.

After the formation of the enemy group, its members began to determine the coordinates of compact buildings and residences of citizens on the territory of Kherson.

They were also interested in the main bases and movement routes of the Defense Forces in the city and its surroundings.

The received information was transmitted to the aggressor through anonymous messengers.

Intelligence information was needed by the invaders to carry out massive attacks on the liberated city using missiles, guided aerial bombs, barrel artillery and rocket launchers.

During the search of the residences of the detainees, binoculars, mobile phones and computers that they used in criminal activities were found. Pro-Kremlin symbols and russian rubles, which they received for cooperating with the occupiers, were also confiscated from the participants.

Currently, the leader of the enemy group has been served with suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). He faces life imprisonment.

Two of his accomplices are suspected under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the transfer, transfer of weapons, armaments and military supplies to Ukraine, the movement, transfer or placement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine).

All of them are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the counter-intelligence of the Security Service exposed another FSB agent who was correcting the air attacks of the aggressor country of the russian federation on the military and industrial infrastructure of the Kharkiv Region. He was detained "red handed" during reconnaissance of enemy hits in the regional center.
