Defense forces repel 19 russian attacks on the Avdiivka axis. Situation at the front

During the day, 42 combat battles took place at the front. The defense forces repelled 19 enemy attacks on the Avdiivka axis, another 7 on the Mariinka axis. In addition, the enemy does not abandon the intention to knock out Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper, where it carried out 10 unsuccessful assault actions.

So, during the day there were 42 combat clashes. In total, the enemy launched 2 missile and 29 air strikes, carried out 19 attacks from MLRS on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are killed and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential and apartment buildings, other civil infrastructure, were destroyed and damaged.

On the Volyn and Polissia axes, the operational situation is without significant changes. No signs of the formation of offensive groups were found. Certain units of the armed forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering with Ukraine.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, attacks settlements from the territory of the russian federation, increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Vilcha and Vilkhuvatka, Kharkiv Region. More than 30 settlements were under artillery and mortar attacks, among them Hremiachka, Chernihiv Region; Fotovyzh, Rodionivka, Volfyne, Vysoke, Seredyna Buda, Sumy Region; Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Zemlianky, Kharkiv Region.

On the Kupiansk axis, the Defense Forces repelled 5 attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv Region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of our troops. The enemy also launched an air strike in the area of ​ ​ Petropavlivka, Kharkiv Region. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Petropavlivka, Berestove, Kharkiv Region.

On the Lyman axis, the defenders repelled 3 attacks east of Terny and Vesele, Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical position. The enemy also launched an air strike in the area of ​ ​ Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk Region. More than 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery and mortar attacks, among them Nevske, Luhansk Region and Torske, Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Donetsk Region.

On the Bakhmut axis, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack near Klishchiivka, Donetsk Region. More than 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Donetsk Region.

On the Avdiivka axis, the defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Sievierne and another 10 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske, Donetsk Region. Here the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position. About 15 settlements were under artillery and mortar attacks of the enemy, among them Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Sievierne, Nevelske, Donetsk Region.

On the Mariinka axis, the Defense Forces continue to deter the enemy near Mariinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of our troops 7 times and carried out more than 20 air strikes in the area of ​ ​ Novomykhailivka, Donetsk Region. Under the artillery and mortar fire of the invaders were such settlements of the Donetsk Region as Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. They fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, among them Vuhledar, Vodiane, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Donetsk Region.

On the Zaporizhzhia axis, the defenders repelled 4 attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia Region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position. About 20 settlements were under artillery and mortar attacks, among them Olhivske, Charivne, Bilohiria, Robotyne, Piatykhatky, Zaporizhzhia Region.

In the area of ​ ​ responsibility of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kherson axis, the regional center of the Kherson Region was shelled by enemy artillery. The enemy also fired from MLRS in the areas of the settlements of Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Krynky, Kizomys, Kherson Region.

The enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out Ukrainian units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out 10 unsuccessful assault actions, but the Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy.

Meanwhile, during the day, Defense Forces aircraft struck 7 areas of ​ ​ enemy personnel concentration. Also, by the forces and means of air defense of Ukraine, a Kh-59 guided aviation missile was destroyed.

In addition, missile forces units struck at 2 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, a control point, an ammunition depot and an electronic warfare station of the enemy.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of January 10, in the Synelnikivskyi District of the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Kh-59 guided aviation missile.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, said that at the front there is an increase in the number of russian troops who refuse to go on the offensive due to the losses suffered by the enemy and colder weather.
