Britain will invest GBP 245 million (EUR 286 million) during the year to provide artillery shells for Ukraine.

This is reported by the official portal of the British government to the 2nd anniversary of the full-scale war.

In the communiqué, London notes that artillery has played and continues to play an extremely important role on the battlefield, and Ukraine has recently suffered from an acute shortage of ammunition.

With this in mind, Britain is allocating GBP 245 million to buy ammunition and revitalize supply chains to ensure ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition to this and the separately announced Brimstone missiles, the government announces the signing of a series of million-cost contracts between the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense and the British Cook Defense Systems for the purchase of hundreds of tracked spare parts for the repair of Ukrainian tanks and other armored vehicles.

Also, until February 24, Conservative representative Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the leader of the opposition Labor Party Keir Starmer (who have a good chance of winning in the upcoming elections) said that Britain will continue to support Ukraine, Sky News reports.

Rishi Sunak repeated that London is determined to support Ukraine as long as necessary.

Starmer assured that Britain will support Ukraine regardless of which party forms the next government, and russia's victory cannot be allowed.

"We will not waver and will not leave them (Ukrainians). We will not allow division among us in the face of tyranny," he said.
