The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has instructed the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company to correct before August 19 the figures of revenues of the company in the financial plan for 2017 in coordination with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry and the Finance Ministry without higher prices of gas for households.

This is said in the protocol of the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of July 19 the wording of which was made available to the agency.

The protocol reads that the Cabinet of Ministers instruct the national company jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry, and the Finance Ministry to correct figures of revenues of the company in the financial plan for 2017 in compliance with gas prices effective on April 1, 2017.

The Cabinet of Ministers gave one month for this.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the draft financial plan of Naftogaz for 2017 foresaw that the natural gas prices to households will grow by 18.84% or by UAH 931 from October 1 to UAH 5,873 per 1,000 cubic meters (less VAT).

On July 19, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the draft financial plan of Naftogaz of Ukraine for 2017 on the whole but refused to increase the natural gas prices for households.

On April 26, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers added the formula for calculating the maximum final price of natural gas for households (the cost of gas supply services) to the resolution on the special obligations of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national energy company.

Resolution No. 187 dated March 22 on special obligations for supply of gas to households and heating enterprises stipulated only the maximum price of gas as a commodity (UAH 4,942 per thousand cubic meter), but it did not regulate the final price for households.
