Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 9.1% To 6,647, Number Of Deaths Down 9.8% To 248 On December 23

On December 23, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,647 over December 22 to 3,637,038, and the number of deaths increased by 248 over December 22 to 94,432; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 9.1%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 9.8%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of December 24, a total of 3,637,038 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 94,432 deaths; 3,408,294 had recovered.

On December 23, a total of 6,647 new disease cases were recorded, 248 people died, and 14,874 people recovered.

Therefore, as of December 23, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (6,647 vs 14,874).

At the same time, on December 23, a total of 1,646 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 2.7% over December 22.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 22, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,312 over December 21 to 3,630,391, and the number of deaths increased by 275 over December 21 to 94,184; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 14.9%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 8.6%.

On December 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,363 over December 20 to 3,623,079, and the number of deaths increased by 301 over December 20 to 93,909; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 5.5%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 13%.
