Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 2.5% To 25,062, Number Of Deaths Up 3.5% To 297 On February 22

On February 22, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 25,062 over February 21 to 4,783,835, and the number of deaths increased by 297 over February 21 to 105,229; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 2.5%, and the number of new deaths increased 3.5%.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of February 23, a total of 4,783,835 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 105,229 deaths; 4,023,033 had recovered.

On February 22, a total of 25,062 new disease cases were recorded, 297 people died, and 37,432 people recovered.

Therefore, as of February 22, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those recovered (25,062 vs 37,432).

At the same time, on February 22, a total of 3,140 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up twice over February 21.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 24,440 over February 20 to 4,758,773, and the number of deaths increased by 287 over February 20 to 104,932; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 80.2%, and the number of new deaths increased 2.3 times.

On February 20, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 13,562 over February 19 to 4,734,333, and the number of deaths increased by 127 over February 19 to 104,645; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 22.3%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 16.4%.
