U.S. President Joe Biden said he is ready to withdraw from the presidential talks if he has serious health problems.

The American leader said this in an interview with CBS News.

In particular, Biden is ready to leave the presidential race only if a doctor tells him that he is dealing with a serious medical problem.

"If I had been diagnosed with some disease, if someone - doctors - came and said that you have such a problem," the U.S. President replied.

Earlier, Biden explained his unsuccessful performance at the debate with Donald Trump by the fact that he felt bad after a series of flights and changing time zones.

According to the American media, influential Democrats sent a letter to Biden with a request to withdraw from the election.

Meanwhile, Biden is set to hold another debate with presidential candidate Donald Trump in September.
