The war with russia is "closer to the end" than many believe.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with ABC News.

"The victory plan is to strengthen Ukraine. Therefore, we ask our friends, our allies to strengthen us. This is very important. I think we are closer to peace than we think. We are closer to the end of the war," he said.

The President also said that russian dictator vladimir putin is "afraid" of the Kursk operation, because he cannot defend his territory.

"It's true. He's very afraid. Why? Because his people saw that he can't protect, that he can't protect his entire territory," Zelenskyy noted.

The head of state said that only from a "strong position" Ukraine can "push putin to end the war."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained that the Victory plan prepared by him is a plan to strengthen Ukraine and does not require cooperation from the russians to achieve success.

It will be recalled that on September 22, Zelenskyy went to the United States to present the Victory Plan of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy intends to present the Victory Plan of Ukraine to Biden on September 26. It will also be seen by candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
