On July 18, the Ukrhydroenergo energy generating company agreed with the MVP Energorishennia LLC to build protective structures at the Kaniv hydroelectric power plant (Cherkasy Region) for UAH 571.2 million.

This is evidenced by data in the state procurement system Prozorro, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Currently, numerous missile and drone attacks on critical facilities of the electric power complex are being observed by the russian federation, with the aim of disrupting their functioning. In order to ensure the proper level of protection of the facilities of Ukrhydroenergo, the Kaniv HEPP branch needs to take urgent measures to strengthen additional engineering protection of the equipment that ensures the distribution and transmission of electric energy, namely to perform work on the installation of a protective structure for this object, which will significantly reduce the probability of damage to critical elements of the enterprise's objects during missile and drone attacks," the tender documents state.

The deadline for the work is until December 31, 2025.

Energorishennia has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 2007.

The main direction of the company's activity is the provision of turnkey services in the field of electricity: design, electrical installation, and commissioning works, supply of electrical equipment and materials, diagnostics of electrical equipment of power stations, substations, and networks up to 750 kV.

The final beneficiaries of LLC MVP Energorishennia are Volodymyr Mason and Valentyna Mitchynska.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 22, russian troops launched a missile attack on the Dnipro hydroelectric station (Zaporizhzhia), causing damage to both stations and the dam.

Ukrhydroenergo includes Kyiv HEPP, Kyiv PSPP, Kaniv HEPP, Kremenchuk HEPP, Seredniodniprovska HEPP, Dniprovska HEPP, Dnistrovska HEPP, Dnistrovska PSPP, and Kakhovka HEPP.

On June 6, 2023, russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to rebuild the Kakhovka HEPP blown up by the russians.

100% of the shares of Ukrhydroenergo belong to the state and are managed by the Ministry of Energy.
