Emergency Service's Firefighting Aircraft Finish Extinguishing Fire At Ammunition Depot In Vinnytsia Region

The State Emergency Service's firefighting aircraft have finished extinguishing the fires caused by explosions at a Ministry of Defense ammunition depot near Kalynivka (Vinnytsia region).

The State Emergency Service announced this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The State Emergency Service's aircraft have completed the work involving the extinguishing of fires on the territory of the military warehouse and returned to the bases," the State Emergency Service announced at 17:00.

In total, An-32P firefighting aircraft dropped water on the sites of the fires 48 times (384 tons of water), including 12 times (96 tons of water) on September 29.

Isolated cases of detonation of ammunition were observed at the ammunition depot on Friday.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Defense Ministry has said that the explosions on the territory of the Ministry of Defense's ammunition depot near Kalynivka could continue until October 2.
