DniproAzot Loads First Batch Of Liquid Chlorine After Resumption Of Production

The DniproAzot chemical plant in Dnipropetrovsk region has loaded the first batch of liquid chlorine after the resumption of its production.

A representative of the chemical plant announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.

The representative said the first batch of liquid chlorine has been delivered to Kharkiv.

A statement reads that the DniproAzot chemical plant operates at 10% of its capacity as it does not manufacture ammonia and mineral fertilizers because of high prices of natural gas.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 20, 2018, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, and Housing, and Utility Services Hennadii Zubko said DniproAzot chemical plant (Dnipropetrovsk region), which is a major producer of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizer, had resumed production of liquid chlorine.

The Security Service of Ukraine has launched an investigation against DniproAzot officials for illegally suspending production of chlorine.

The company suspended production on June 15.
