Court Cancels State Fiscal Service’s UAH-7-Billion Fine On Kobolev

The Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv has canceled the State Fiscal Service’s decision to impose a personal fine of UAH 7.027 billion on the Naftogaz of Ukraine national energy company’s Board Chairman Andrii Kobolev for violating the procedure for customs clearance of gas purchased from the Gazprom gas company (Russia).

This is stated in the court decision dated July 23, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Kobolev appealed against the fine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Kobolev appealed to the District Administrative Court of Kyiv in March against two decisions by the State Fiscal Service to impose personal fines of UAH 7 billion and UAH 1.3 billion on him.

Kobolev announced on March 1 that the State Fiscal Service had imposed personal fines totaling UAH 8.3 billion on him for violating the procedure for customs clearance of gas purchased from Gazprom.
