Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 21.2% To 9,590, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 2.1% To 441 On April 27

On April 27, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,590 over April 26 to 2,047,838, and the number of deaths increased by 441 over April 26 to 43,391; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 21.2%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.1%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of April 28, a total of 2,047,838 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 43,391 fatal cases; 1,616,891 people had recovered.

On April 27, a total of 9,590 new disease cases were recorded, 441 people died, and 20,062 people recovered.

Therefore, as of April 27, the number of newly-infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (9,590 vs 20,062).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 28 was 387,556, down 2.7% over April 27.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (193,690), Kharkiv region (133,767), and Odesa region (132,611).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 128,331 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 119,204; Kyiv region – 117,797 cases, Zaporizhia region – 94,860, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 83,582, Zhytomyr region – 83,546, Khmelnytskyi region – 82,619, Donetsk region - 78,257, Chernivtsi region – 76,871, Cherkasy region – 73,679, Sumy region – 71,969, and Rivne region – 70,725.

A total of 70,518 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 67,331 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 65,498 cases - in Ternopil region, 62,537 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 59,795 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 56,613 cases – in Volyn region, 52,642 cases – in Chernihiv region, 30,610 – in Kherson region, 22,943 – in Luhansk region, and 17,843 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 26, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,915 over April 25 to 2,038,248, and the number of deaths increased by 432 over April 25 to 42,950; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 56.4%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.2 times.

On April 25, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,062 over April 24 to 2,030,333, and the number of deaths increased by 195 over April 24 to 42,518; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 36.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 15.6%.
