Number Of People Vaccinated With 1st Dose Up 3.7 Times To 3,425 May 4

On May 4, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine rose 3.7 times over May 3 to 3,425.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 759,434 people have been vaccinated including 303 people who received the second dose of the vaccine.

As of May 4, the vaccination waiting list included 514,821 people.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 3, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased 5.2 times over May 2 to 919.

On May 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,576 over May 3 to 2,090,986, and the number of deaths increased by 161 over May 3 to 45,077; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 4.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 3%.

According to the report, as of the morning of May 5, a total of 2,090,986 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 45,077 fatal cases; 1,697,358 people had recovered.

On May 4, a total of 2,576 new disease cases were recorded, 161 people died, and 7,728 people recovered.

Therefore, as of May 4, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (2,576 vs 7,728).

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (196,735), Kharkiv region (137,863), and Odesa region (134,937).
