Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 9% To 41,694, Number Of Deaths Up 16.7% To 280 On February 9

On February 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 41,694 over February 8 to 4,421,741, and the number of deaths increased by 280 over February 8 to 102,167; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 9%, and the number of new deaths increased by 16.7%.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of February 9, a total of 4,421,741 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 102,167 deaths; 3,729,976 had recovered.

On February 9, a total of 41,694 new disease cases were recorded, 280 people died, and 16,628 people recovered.

Therefore, as of February 9, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those recovered (41,694 vs 16,628).

At the same time, on February 9, a total of 4,128 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 9% over February 8.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 38,257 over February 7 to 4,380,047, and the number of deaths increased by 240 over February 7 to 101,887; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 11.4%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 5.9%.

On February 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 34,353 over February 6 to 4,341,790, and the number of deaths increased by 255 over February 6 to 101,647; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 46.9%, and the number of new deaths rose 2.2 times.
