Ukraine will not participate in the G20 summit if the leader of the Russian Federation goes to Indonesia. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a briefing with the President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Thursday, November 3.

Zelenskyy answered journalists' questions about whether he plans to attend the G20 summit, which will be held in Bali on November 15-16. The President explained that he does not follow the plans of other countries to participate in the meeting, but he maintains a clear position on one thing.

"My personal position and the position of Ukraine was that if the leader of the Russian Federation will participate in the summit, Ukraine will not," Zelenskyy said.

The head of state noted that today he had a telephone conversation with the President of Indonesia, and that Ukraine was again invited to participate in the G20 summit.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 8, Moscow informed Jakarta about Russian President Putin's intention to participate in the G20 summit in November.

On July 9, the Office of the President did not rule out that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may personally attend the G20 summit if Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin is there.

On November 1, in connection with the public confession of Russian President Vladimir Putin that he had ordered a massive missile attack on Ukraine on October 31, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called to withdraw his invitation to the G20 summit, as well as to exclude the Russian Federation from the G20.
