Finance Ministry Places War Bonds For UAH 6 Billion And USD 208 Million

The Ministry of Finance has placed war bonds for UAH 6.035 billion and USD 208 million.

This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Securities with a circulation period of 6 months for UAH 848 million at 14% per annum, with a circulation period of 1.2 year for UAH 3,005 million at 18.5% per annum, with a circulation period of 1.5 year for UAH 1,264 million at 19% per annum, and with a circulation period of 2 years for UAH 918 million at 19.5% per annum were placed.

Dollar securities have a circulation period of 6 months and a yield of 4.25% per annum.

A total of UAH 13,641 million in equivalent were involved in the state budget.

On November 8, the Ministry of Finance placed war bonds for UAH 43.7 million, which is the smallest amount since the beginning of the war.

Before that, the smallest amount was raised on October 4 - UAH 44.5 million.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Finance previously announced that war bonds are primarily a tool for supporting the state budget during a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, and not a tool for maximizing income from investment activities, therefore war bond rates remain fixed.
