Ukrgazvydobuvannya launches a well in eastern Ukraine with a flow rate of 145,000 cubic meters of gas per day

The Ukrgazvydobuvannya Joint-stock company commissioned a new well in the east of Ukraine with a flow rate of 145,000 cubic meters of gas per day.

This follows from a statement by the company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"This is an evaluation and exploitation well, which was drilled and equipped in five months. The well, 3,200 m deep, was drilled by Ukrburgaz using the rotary method using a modernized NBO-M drilling machine," the message says.

According to the provisional head of Ukrgazvydobuvannya Serhii Lahno, a well was drilled in the northeastern part of the field, where drilling had not been conducted for about ten years; it was resumed only last year.

"Since the beginning of the year, six new production wells have been launched at this deposit. And this is not the end; we plan to put 13 more production wells into operation here by the end of this year," he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the first half of the year, Ukrgazvydobuvannya increased gas production by 8.8% to 6.9 billion cubic meters.

Naftogaz plans to extract 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the companies Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta.

In 2023, Ukrgazvydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and "Ukrnafta" increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.

Ukrgazvydobuvannya is the largest gas producer in Ukraine; 100% of the company's shares belong to Naftogaz.
