Defense Intelligence employees identify war criminals from among crew of destroyed Tu-22M3 bomber

Exclusive details of the operation to destroy the Tu-22M3 strategic bomber of the russian federation, carried out by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 19, 2024, as well as the established data of russian war criminals from among the crew of the plane, were published in the documentary material of Artem Shevchenko.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

As you know, the russian Tu-22M3 bomber, which was destroyed more than 300 km from the front line, fell near the Bogomolov khutor in the Stavropol Oblast of the russian federation.

The plane with the serial number "11" belonged to the 52nd heavy bomber aviation regiment (military unit 33310, Shaykovka air base, Kaluga Oblast of the russian federation). This air regiment is part of the 22nd Guards Heavy Bomber Air Division of the Long-Range Aviation Command of the russian Air Force.

On April 19, 2024, a Tu-22M3 bomber took off from the North Caucasian air base Mozdok to the town of Kushchyovskaya rural locality (stanitsa) in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation - the launch point of Kh-22 missiles over the territory of Ukraine. It was its last flight.

"The plane was hit at a distance of 308 kilometers, far enough. Let's put it this way, fruitful and long work makes itself felt. [...] This is the first downing of a long-range aviation aircraft in this war," Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Defense Intelligence told this in the BBC interview at the time.

Subsequently, the Military Intelligence of Ukraine established the names and detailed information about four war criminals from the crew of the destroyed russian Tu-22M3 bomber.

All four were able to eject, two war criminals survived:

  • The commander of the aircraft - Sergey Anatolyevich Kolesnikov, deputy squadron commander for military and political work, major, personal number E-199209, lives in Shaykovka, building 7, apartment 55, divorced, has a daughter.
  • Pilot of the air squadron - Aleksandr Vladimirovich Skryabichev, captain, personal number E-179241, lives in Shaykovka, building 1, apartment 8, wife - Natalia Skryabicheva, two sons.
  • Assistant commander of the aircraft - Andrey Yurievich Kononov, captain, personal number F-193346, lived in Shaykovka, building 1, apartment 41, wife - Kononova Svetlana, two daughters. Liquidated together with the TU-22M3 aircraft on April 19, 2024.
  • Pilot-operator of the aviation detachment - Andrey Aleksandrovich Grushanin, senior lieutenant, personal number MT-498741, divorced, no children. Liquidated together with the TU-22M3 aircraft on April 19, 2024.
