Air Defense downs 17 of 23 enemy Shaheds overnight

Overnight into Wednesday, August 14, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 ballistic guided missiles and 23 Shahed type UAVs; the air defense forces managed to destroy 17 enemy drones.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Overnight the enemy struck with two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Belgorod region (RF) and 23 Shahed-type attack UAVs from the Chauda (Crimea), Yeisk, and Kursk (RF) districts.

"In an anti-aircraft battle, 17 enemy UAVs were shot down in the Mykolayiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr Regions," the report says.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, overnight into Tuesday, August 13, the russian invaders attacked the territory of Ukraine with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 38 Shahed attack drones, and the air defense forces managed to destroy 30 drones.
