165 combat clashes take place on the front; most intense were Pokrovske, Siversk, and Toretsk Axes – General Staff

On August 14, a total of 165 combat clashes took place at the front. The Pokrovske Axis remained the hottest, with 58 clashes per day, and the enemy also actively attacked the Siversk (25 clashes) and Toretsk (24 clashes) Axes.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Yesterday, the enemy launched five missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using five missiles, as well as 58 airstrikes, in particular, dropping 71 anti-aircraft missiles.

In addition, it carried out 4,365 attacks, in 135 of which the enemy used MLRSes.

On August 14, 165 combat clashes with the russian invaders were recorded at the front.

Thus, four combat clashes took place on the Kharkiv Axis in the areas of Vovchansk and Sotnytskyi Kozachok settlements.

On the Kupiyansk Axis, nine enemy attacks occurred near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Berestove during the day.

On the Lyman Axis, the enemy attacked 15 times near Nevske, Terny, and Makiyivka.

On the Siversk Axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 assaults by russian invaders near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamiyanske, Pereyizne, Spirne, and Vyimka.

On the Kramatorsk Axis, the occupiers attacked five times near Chasiv Yar and Andriyivka.

On the Toretsk Axis, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 24 attacks in the areas of Pivnichne, Nelipivka, Zalizne, Niu York, and Toretsk.

On the Pokrovske Axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 58 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Vozdvyzhenka, Ielyzavetivka, Hrodivka, Orlivka, Mykolayivka, Zhelanne, Skuchne, Yasnobrodivka, and Ptyche.

The greatest concentration of enemy attacks was near Vozdvyzhenka and Hrodivka; the enemy actively used assault and bombing aircraft.

On the Kurakhove Axis, the Defense Forces repelled eight attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Heorhiyivka.

On the Vremivka Axis, according to detailed information, the enemy carried out seven assaults on our positions near Vodiane and Vuhledar.

On the Orikhiv Axis, the occupiers tried three times to knock out units of the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.

On the Dnipro Axis, the russian invaders attacked seven times and were repulsed.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy Regions, the enemy from the territory of the russian federation is actively using artillery in the areas of Ukrainian settlements.

At the same time, on August 14, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces carried out nine strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and anti-aircraft defense of the enemy and the command post and also hit four artillery systems, an air defense vehicle, an ammunition depot and another important object of the occupiers.

In total, the russian invaders lost 1,220 people last day.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 13, a total of 134 combat clashes took place on the front; the hottest axis remained Pokrovske, where 54 clashes took place in a day, and the enemy also actively attacked the Toretsk Axis (19 clashes).
