Number Of People Vaccinated With 1st Dose Up 8.8 Times To 17,031 May 11

On May 11, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased 8.8 times over May 10 to 17,031.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 882,621 people have been vaccinated including 1,928 people who received the second dose of the vaccine.

As of May 11, a total of 535,951 were on the vaccination waiting list.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 10, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased 93.7% over May 9 to 1,945.

On May 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,538 over May 10 to 2,129,073, and the number of deaths increased by 356 over May 10 to 46,987; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by twice, and the number of new lethal cases increased three times.

According to the report, as of the morning of May 12, a total of 2,129,073 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 46,987 fatal cases; 1,797,136 people had recovered.

On May 11, a total of 4,538 new disease cases were recorded, 356 people died, and 19,766 people recovered.

Therefore, as of May 11, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (4,538 vs 19,766).

As of the morning of May 12, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 284,950, down 5.2% over May 11.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (199,802), Kharkiv region (141,115), and Odesa region (136,637).
