Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 2.4 Times To 5,454, Number Of Deaths Up 2.3 Times To 307 On December 28

On December 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,454 over December 27 to 3,654,690, and the number of deaths increased by 307 over December 27 to 95,412; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 2.4 times, and the number of new deaths rose 2.3 times.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of December 29, a total of 3,654,690 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 95,412 deaths; 3,449,880 had recovered.

On December 28, a total of 5,454 new disease cases were recorded, 307 people died, and 12,352 people recovered.

Therefore, as of December 28, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (5,454 vs 12,352).

At the same time, on December 28, a total of 1,153 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 22% over December 27.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 27, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,248 over December 26 to 3,649,236, and the number of deaths increased by 134 over December 26 to 95,105; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 20.6%, and the number of new deaths increased by 0.8%.

On December 26, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,864 over December 25 to 3,646,988, and the number of deaths increased by 133 over December 25 to 94,971; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 33.7%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 3.6%.
