GDP ups 6.5% in Q1

In January-March 2024, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, increased by 6.5% compared to the same period in 2023.

This was announced by the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The data are given without taking into account the territories temporarily occupied by the russian federation and part of the territories where hostilities are (were) taking place.

Compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, GDP increased by 1.2% (taking into account the seasonal factor and excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol).

The State Statistics Service clarifies the indicators of the real gross domestic product during the year.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October-December 2023, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, increased by 4.7% to UAH 1,932.991 billion compared to the same period in 2022.

In 2023, according to operational data, the real gross domestic product increased by 5.3% compared to 2022 (in constant 2021 prices) to UAH 6,537.825 billion (in actual prices).

The state budget for 2024 was developed based on the macroeconomic forecast, which predicts real GDP growth by 4.6%.
