Russian Shaheds hit Kyiv Region; fire broke out due to falling debris

Russia, Kyiv region, attack, Shahed

Debris of enemy drones shot down by air defense forces fell in two districts of the Kyiv Region during a night attack.

Kyiv City Military Administration Head Ruslan Kravchenko reported on Telegram.

He recalled that the air-raid alert signal lasted practically all night. Air defense vehicles were shot down by russian drones. Their debris fell but did not damage the objects of civil and critical infrastructure. According to him, there are no victims.

"In one of the settlements, debris fell on a private yard, stubble caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. Two non-residential buildings were damaged, including broken windows and cut facades. Also, falling debris was recorded outside the boundaries of the settlements on open terrain," Kravchenko wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 25 Patriot systems are needed to completely cover the skies of Ukraine. At the same time, he noted that for the protection of the sky, this is not the only system that Ukraine needs, but it is the most powerful.

It has already become known that the United States allocated a new aid package to Ukraine, which includes a Patriot battery and ammunition for HIMARS and NASAMS.
