UK defence intelligence reports where occupiers’ efforts are concentrated

UK Intelligence, UK Defence Intelligence, UK intelligence operational update

Currently, the main offensive efforts of the russian army on the front line are concentrated on the Avdiivka axis.

This is stated in the intelligence update of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom, the text of which is posted on the official page of the department on X.

At the same time, the russian army continues offensive operations simultaneously in several areas of the front.

"It is likely that the Avdiivka-Pokrovsk sector in Donetsk Oblast remains the Russian main effort and consequently has seen the highest operational tempo by Russian forces over the last month,” the intelligence officers emphasize.

The russian army continued to advance north and west from Ocheretyne in the direction of Pokrovsk. The occupiers also made a slight advance near the village of Niu York. The British call it a heavily fortified area and the last point of the contact line that existed before russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

There were no special advances near Chasiv Yar. On this part of the front, the large-scale assaults of the russian infantry have stopped in the last few days, and the invaders are mostly operating in scattered small detachments of infantry.

"Russian forces in this area are likely taking a tactical pause while conducting probing attacks and reconnaissance activity," note intelligence officers of the UK Ministry of Defence.
