Russians flaunt improved Iskandar-1000 missile. What is known about development

The russians have announced that they have allegedly begun development of the Iskander-1000 ballistic missile, which allegedly has a range of up to 1,000 kilometers.

This information was investigated by Defense Express analysts.

The information was spread by one of the russian propaganda resources. They claim that the development was first noticed back in May 2024. However, there is little official information about the development.

Defense Express emphasizes that the mass of the "improved warhead" is not mentioned, but notes that it uses an "autonomous inertial guidance system, probably with a correction system based on satellite navigation data and possibly with radar guidance on a terrain map in the area of the target during the final stage of the flight."

Analysts point to the fact that the russians are flaunting their missile amid the Kremlin's threats to deploy medium-range land-based missiles. However, in fact, the russian federation did this back in 2019.

In addition, it is noted that the hypothetical "Iskander-1000" could be developed based on the experience of developing North Korean ballistic missiles KN-23. Russia has already hit Ukraine with these missiles.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on one of the areas of the front, a Bulsae-4 self-propelled anti-tank missile system from North Korea was allegedly spotted with the russian occupiers.

Also, the aggressor state of russia continues to deepen bilateral relations with North Korea and Iran in exchange for providing lethal weapons to continue the war against Ukraine
