The aggressor country russia's increase in payments to contractors for participating in the war against Ukraine proves that the occupation army is experiencing a serious shortage of personnel.

The Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Thus, the NSDC commented on the decree of the russian ruler vladimir putin to more than double the one-time payment to RUB 400,000 (approximately UAH 190,000 or USD 5,000) for those russians and foreigners who will sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation from August 1 to December 31, 2024 and will go to war against Ukraine. Previously, this one-time payment amounted to RUB 195,000. In addition, putin recommended that the regions also pay no less than the same amount at the expense of local budgets.

"These actions of the kremlin prove once again that, despite the victorious declarations of propaganda, the russian occupation army in Ukraine is experiencing a serious shortage of personnel due to heavy losses. The russian authorities are trying to take advantage of the difficult financial situation of many citizens in order to encourage them to participate in the war of aggression with the prospect of "easy earnings". And the constant increase in payments for future contractors shows that this method of compensating the losses of the russian army in Ukraine is becoming less and less effective," the Center for Countering Disinformation notes.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to the notification of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of personnel of the russian troops on July 30 increased by 1,060 to 578,120 people.
