Agrarian Ministry insists on booking of workers in fields of horticulture and vegetable growing

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food emphasizes that regional military administrations should revise the criteria for booking employees, so that workers of even small but important enterprises for ensuring the safety of the employees have the opportunity to book their employees.

This is stated in the message of the ministry, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

At the same time, the fields of horticulture, vegetable growing, and potato growing require special attention.

According to Ihor Vishtak, director of the Department of Agrarian Development of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the relevant professional associations emphasize in their appeals that not all Regional Military Administration took into account the possibility of booking workers in the fields of horticulture, vegetable growing and potato growing as much as possible.

"These industries are currently of critical importance for the economy of Ukraine. Previously, about 70% of vegetable production was grown in the south of Ukraine. Today, part of this business has been destroyed, some enterprises have been relocated. This has affected prices on the domestic market. Now business entities provide the domestic market with their products, and we must help their workers get reservations. I would ask the regional military administrations to review their criteria so that horticulture and vegetable growing enterprises can book their workers," Vishtak said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Digital Transformation launched the booking of employees liable for military service on the Diia portal.
