Defense Ministry allows Dzhura armored car to be used in army

The Ministry of Defense codified and approved for use in the army the armored car Dzhura, designed to perform various tactical tasks.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Dzhura has a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 chassis, on which a specially designed armored capsule was installed, which provides a level of ballistic protection of personnel against fire from small arms, the design of the armored capsule allows the installation of a machine gun on the turret.

A light armored car is compact, has a relatively small mass, which facilitates its passability. Ukrainian engineers also strengthened the suspension of the car, the range of the armored car is more than 650 km.

Depending on the purpose, the armored car can be manufactured in different configurations of the armored cabin and luggage compartment: a vehicle for reconnaissance and patrolling, for carrying out logistics tasks, carrying out the evacuation of the wounded, etc.

Codified and included in the staff list of military units, a sample of domestically produced weapons and military equipment is allowed to be purchased at the expense of the state budget and used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the company Ukrainian Armored Vehicles previously presented a universal platform - the Novator armored car, which can be configured for various tasks, including the transportation of personnel, installation of electronic warfare equipment.

The Ministry of Defense is creating a database of unscrupulous foreign suppliers of defense goods, works and services.
