Ukrainian athlete Iryna Herashchenko won a bronze medal in high jump at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. This is already the fourth medal in the team competition of Ukraine and the second bronze.

Iryna Herashchenko shared the bronze with the Australian athlete Eleanor Patterson. The two of them took a height of 1.95 m.

For the 29-year-old Ukrainian athlete Iryna Herashchenko, this is the first award at the Olympic Games.

Ukrainian athlete Mykhailo Kokhan brought Ukraine the sixth award at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris (France).

Kokhan became the bronze medalist in the hammer throw sector with a result of 79.39 meters, Ukrinform reports.

The winner was Ethan Katzberg from Canada (84.12), the second - Hungarian Bence Halász (79.97).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the women's saber fencing team of Ukraine won the first "gold" for Ukraine at the 2024 Olympics.

Earlier it was reported that Yaroslava Mahuchikh will compete in the high jump finals of the Olympic Games for the second time in her career. Together with her, Ukrainian Iryna Herashchenko also made it to the finals.
