On the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, an action of the charity foundation "Peace to You" was held to distribute humanitarian assistance. Packages were received by pensioners, immigrants and large families. Volunteer Oleksiy Omelyanenko, who has been supporting the organization since the first days of the full-scale invasion, joined the charity event.

The assistance consisted of food packages and personal care kits. Diapers and wet wipes for people with disabilities who need special care were especially important.

Representatives of the foundation emphasize the importance of supporting people who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. The organization's efforts are aimed at providing social assistance to such people every month.

"Society should worry about people who were forced to leave their homes and are now very much waiting for our help. We have concentrated our efforts to help these people and will try to ensure that each of them receives an auxiliary package of social assistance from our organization once a month, "says volunteer Oleksiy Omelyanenko.

To date, the fund helps about a thousand people every month, including mostly those who lost their homes or loved ones due to the occupation.

Volunteers note that the main thing for recipients of assistance is attention and care, not the contents of packages. Every week, the charity foundation organizes an action, during which about 250 people receive packages of products. Within a month, about a thousand Ukrainians receive assistance. Everyone is included in the lists, subsequently called and informed about the procedure for obtaining assistance.

One of those who receive assistance from the fund is Mrs. Irina from Energodar. She spent 7 months in occupation, experiencing constant shelling and chaos. After fleeing the occupied territory, she received first aid from the Peace to You Foundation.

Another beneficiary, Olga, is a low-income pensioner who has been supported by philanthropists for two years due to insufficient state assistance.

The Peace to You Foundation continues to work for the benefit of society and focuses on helping civilians living near the front line and in the settlements that are shelled daily.
