SSU, drones, airfield, hit, Lipetsk-2

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) attacked the Lipetsk-2 airfield with drones, where dozens of fighter jets and 700 guided bombs were located; the attack resulted in a powerful explosion and detonation.

This was reported to Ukrainian News by sources in law enforcement agencies.

According to sources, the airfield was home to several dozen fighter jets, helicopters, and warehouses where more than 700 guided air bombs were stored.

After the strike of the Ukrainian drones, a powerful explosion occurred, which caused a chain detonation and a large-scale fire on a large part of the airfield.

Local russian authorities confirmed the fact of detonation and announced the evacuation of residents of nearby settlements.

Most of the planes stationed at the Lipetsk-2 military airfield did not have time to take off.

"The SSU, in cooperation with the Defense Forces, continues methodical work to destroy russian aviation logistics so that the enemy does not have the opportunity to bombard Ukrainian cities with guided bombs. At the beginning of August, we cleared the Morozovsk airfield of guided bombs and fighter jets; today, it is Lipetsk-2's turn. We continue to work," the interlocutors said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a large fire broke out at a military airfield in the Lipetsk Oblast of the russian federation after a drone attack.
