In Myrnohrad, Donetsk Region, 6 km from where the russian army is located, approximately 20,000 people remain, of which approximately 1,000 are children.

Yurii Tretiak, the acting head of the Myrnohrad City Military Administration, announced this to Radio Svoboda.

According to him, many residents are evacuating themselves, but there are those who refuse to leave.

"The situation is tense and stable. But the enemy is advancing little by little. Now the line of combat is about six kilometers from the city of Myrnohrad. People are leaving, but not as quickly, briskly as we would like, as the situation requires. First of all, we are trying to organize the evacuation of children and elderly people who find it difficult to take care of themselves, who have problems with movement," says Tretiak.

According to him, people in Pokrovsk are being persuaded to leave.

"There are people who refuse to leave for anything... There are not many of them, but there are cases when parents say on the phone that their children have already left, and we find out that they are still in the community," said the head of the City Military Administration.

Tretiak says that all people from Myrnohrad are planned to be taken out by the end of August.

We will remind, as of the morning of August 16, the russian occupiers are at a distance of 10.5 kilometers from Pokrovsk.
